Some consumers may think that UL only tests finished goods, but the company also tests and verifies a wide range of materials and components that are used to manufacture recognizable products. UL label testing measures characteristics such as print durability, service temperatures, acceptable application surfaces, and chemical resistance; these tests verify that the label will remain securely affixed and readable for the life of a product.
