Pine Grove Nursing Center Uses AccuNurse Interactive Care to Improve Care and Service Delivery

AccuNurse Significantly Improved Patient Care and Quality of Life

PITTSBURGH, Jan. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Vocollect Healthcare Systems , part of Vocollect, announces that Pine Grove Nursing Center has implemented AccuNurse® voice technology. AccuNurse interactive care allows Pine Grove to deliver quality care to patients and residents, while preparing for 2014 healthcare reform requirements.

AccuNurse interactive care enables Pine Grove CNAs to observe and accurately document care needs while they are bedside with patients. This allows clinical management to make timely adjustments in care plans that more effectively address changes in patient needs, and ensures that the informational loop is closed by inputting care plan changes into what the CNA hears the next time direct care is provided.

Since the deployment of AccuNurse, Pine Grove has seen falls reduced by 16 percent, bladder incontinence reduced by 24 percent and weight loss reduced by 3 percent. The amount of documented time that CNAs spend providing direct care to patients has also increased since Pine Grove began using AccuNurse interactive care.
