Allen J. Lauer – Interim President and CEO

Allen J. Lauer

Allen J. Lauer is the retired chairman of Varian, Inc. (NASDAQ: VARI), which spun off from Varian Associates, Inc. in April 1999. Presently, he is chairman of the board of directors and interim CEO of Intermec, Inc. (NYSE: IN).

Allen joined Varian Associates, Inc. in 1965 and held numerous key management positions. From April 1999 to December 2003, he was chief executive officer of the company. He retired as CEO in 2003 and as chairman in 2009. Varian, Inc. was a leader in providing scientific instruments and vacuum technologies for life science and industrial applications.

Allen received his BS degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley. He also served as a commissioned officer in the US Navy, and has served on the boards of directors of the American Electronics Association and of the Analytical and Life Sciences System Association (ALSSA), including two terms as chairman of the ALSSA. Allen presently serves on the board of overseers for the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.


Arvin Danielson – Chief Technology Officer


Arvin Danielson has responsibilities for technology direction, standards development, and IP development.

Arvin joined Intermec in 1975 and has held several engineering and technical management positions in the area of R&D. In the early 1990s, he was responsible for establishing the Asia Pacific business as the managing director for the region.

He is inventor or co-inventor of 85 patents, and has been directly involved in the development of many technological firsts, including imaging, portable printing, smart battery, mobile computing, wireless PAN, LAN and WAN, RFID, and barcode scanning technologies. Many of these technologies were instrumental in changing the way industries operated.

He has twice been awarded with Intermec’s highest engineering honor, the Ron Mahany Innovation of the Year award, for his significant contributions to the company. Arvin was also the 2012 recipient of the Richard R. Dilling Award. Presented by the Association for Automatic Identification and Mobility (AIM), the Dilling Award is the highest honor in the automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) industry.

Arvin graduated from North Dakota State College of Science in 1969 with a BS degree in electronic engineering.


Robert J. Driessnack – Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Robert J. Driessnack joined the company as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in January, 2009. Bob has over 25 years' experience with public and private businesses, including global electronics manufacturing.

Most recently, Bob held the position of Vice President and Controller at HNI Corporation. Before joining HNI in 2004, Bob was a Division Chief Financial Officer for NCR Corporation. During his 15-year tenure at NCR, he served in numerous financial positions, including Corporate Controller, Regional Controller and Chief Financial Officer for various international divisions.

Bob received a BA in Accounting from Michigan State University, and is also a Certified Public Accountant.


Dennis Faerber – Senior Vice President of Global Operations

Dennis Faerber joined Intermec in February 2008 to provide leadership and oversight of the company's global manufacturing and outsourcing as well as channel and supply chain management. He brings broad operational experience to Intermec, particularly in the areas of supply chain transformation, process development, technical operations, manufacturing systems, quality operations, materials management, and engineering.

Most recently, Dennis held the position of corporate VP of Global Supply Chains for Applied Materials. Before Applied Materials, he served as KLA-Tencor's group VP and Chief Quality Officer. Prior to that, Dennis was Chief Operating Officer at Advanced Energy and VP and General Manager of U.S. operations for Agilent's EPSG business. Prior to Agilent, he held various management positions throughout a 24-year career with Hewlett-Packard.

Dennis received a BS degree in mechanical engineering from The University of Missouri at Rolla.


Ron Kubera – General Manager and Senior Vice President, Vocollect Business Unit

Ron Kubera is General Manager and Senior Vice President of the Vocollect business unit, with executive responsibility for Vocollect’s global supply chain and healthcare systems voice solutions businesses.

Kubera’s career spans more than 25 years of executive supply chain experience. Prior to joining Vocollect in May 2012, he served as Global Vice President and General Manager of Infor Global Solutions. He served as General Manager, Equipment Service Management & Rental with Lawson Software, Inc. for three years, and as Senior Vice President – Supply Chain with JDA Software, Inc., which purchased his former company Manugistics, Inc. Over 13 years at Manugistics, he held multiple leadership roles, most recently as Senior Vice President, Consumer Goods Sales and European Sales & Operations.

Kubera holds an M.B.A. degree from Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey and a B.S. degree in business administration and economics from Mansfield University in Mansfield, Pennsylvania.


Jeanne Lyon – Vice President, Human Resources

Jeanne Lyon joined Intermec in 2008 to provide overall leadership as the company's Vice President of Human Resource. Jeanne is responsible for the creation and delivery of strategic human resources initiatives which are key to the attainment of Intermec's global business goals.

Most recently, Jeanne served as SVP of Roche's Palo Alto Research and Development Center. Prior to Roche, Jeanne directed the HR function at KLA-Tencor and previously was at Cisco Systems in Human Resources.

Jeanne completed her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biology from Montclair State University.


James P. McDonnell – Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing

James P. McDonnell joined the company as Senior Vice President of Global Sales in January, 2010. Jim is a 26-year veteran of Hewlett-Packard where he has held leadership roles across several HP divisions.

Most recently, Jim held the position of Vice President of Global Sales-Enterprise Storage and Servers Group, and was responsible for the sales of enterprise products for HP worldwide. Prior to that, he was Vice President of the Solution Partners Organization, leading commercial channels sales for HP's commercial products.

Jim received his Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering from Villanova University.


Yukio Morikubo – Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Yukio Morikubo

Yukio Morikubo joined Intermec from drugstore.com where he was Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary from November 2006 until their recent acquisition by Walgreens. His duties included serving as the primary legal advisor to the Company's CEO and Board of Directors. Yukio brings extensive public-company experience in critical areas, including corporate governance, corporate strategy and M&A, litigation and risk management, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.

Prior to drugstore.com, Yukio was General Counsel at Advanced Digital Information Corporation (ADIC), a NASDAQ-listed company; Chief Counsel at the international division of AT&T Wireless Services; and a business and tax attorney at Perkins Coie, a leading law firm in the Seattle area.

Yukio graduated from the University of Hawaii with BA and MBA degrees, and received his law degree from Georgetown University. He is an active member of the Washington State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.


Earl Thompson – Senior Vice President, Mobile Solutions Business Unit

Earl Thompson has responsibility for the Mobile Solutions Business Unit, comprising of Mobile Computers, Data Capture, Printers and Media product lines. Earl manages the day-to-day operations and drives the strategic direction of these important businesses.

Earl is an accomplished executive with 25 years of domestic and international business experience in operations, P&L oversight, marketing, product development, business development, and strategic planning.

Prior to joining Intermec in 2007, he was VP and General Manager of the Wireless Division at Agilent Technologies, Inc. where he had also served as the General Manager of Agilent's Wireless Business Unit Operation in Beijing, China and as the Wireless Inbound & Strategy Manager for the Wireless Business Unit. Earl also held a variety of management positions (both U.S. and foreign-based) for Hewlett-Packard Company.

Earl received his BS degree in electrical engineering from Washington State University and his MBA degree from Gonzaga University.
